I spoke with Tom Russ, and it does not look good for NATV's projected return. They will not be back on Oct 1. They had hoped for a birth on T-402. NATV has financial problems, though, and at this time their future is in question. Sad to see a GREAT source of alternative weirdness vanish. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Foreword: While some people are content to watch mostly the west end cable type programming, and never get more adventurous than to punch up the Recurring Feeds listed in popular sat guides, there are some folks who enjoy the UNIQUE programs available on TVRO. To this end, I offer this guide of programming which presents a spectrum of things you just don't usually get to hear on the conventional media. Every attempt is made to keep the listing current and accurate. Your contributions are welcome, and will be considered for future editions All Programming Unscrambled. VIDEO OFFERINGS All Times Eastern TOTYWEN (The Only Time Zone You Will Ever Need) G3/12 24 Hours/daily - The University Network -Doctor (eu)Gene Scott The old man of the sky. Once the beacon by which EVERYONE tuned their dish, the "Doc" has been on the birds for over 10 years. People keep asking: "Who is this guy, is he for real". You can not fully appreciate Doc Scott until you have been watching him for several months. BEST time to watch is Saturday night overnight to Sunday Morning. Roll tape. Topics include UFO'S, Pyramids, Bermuda Triangle, and his unique brand of Christianity. Along the way he will pitch a fit or two, and demand your money. Doc is an acquired taste. I am proud to say that I have Kings Dish License #495, and have been watching him since the first day he hit the birds, BEFORE WESTAR 5, when he rented time from Mother Angelica! He has changed a LOT over the years, but he still runs some of the old tapes, so check him out. He will grow on you. G3/11 Sunday 1:00AM-1:30AM - Now Take My Hand -Sister Spring ALL NEW PROGRAMS! "It is windy in outer space. I know. I've been there" "I died to bring you these truths". Sister Spring is perhaps the most unusual of all the religious programs on the air today. "She who is speaking to you is wearing the efrote of the priesthood of Melchizedek, here to call out the whosoever will" Her viewers are called "Runners", and she has a teddy bear named Pudding Time that she talks to. Her eyes glow while she tells you about Vultures we have not yet seen, and once she revealed how she cursed her plumber and he died. You won't believe some of the things she says, but keep tuning in - You just MIGHT! F2/13 24 Hours/daily - The Outdoor Channel Not what you think from the name. This channel has some right wing politics, from the late "Buzzard", a gold prospector who began on satellite as a weekend only offering. His untimely death in late 1993 has not stopped the programming, as the channel is now run by his two sons. Of course, Buzzard has many years of tapes on the shelf, so his philosophy (Pro American right wing constitutionalist) lives on. Also seen on the Outdoor channel, the SHOOTIN' SHOW (Guns Guns and more guns) as well as some corny old westerns. Recently the Outdoor channel moved from its previous location of F2/03. G3/11 Saturday 12Midnight Truth for the Times - Pastor Pete Peters Death Penalty for Homosexuals Guns for All America has been conquered Jews control the Media The Anglo Saxons are the true Israel People Need I say more? G3/11 Saturday 4:00AM HEARTBEAT - Jack and Ouida Rehburg A two hour show featuring old fashioned preaching and phone calls. Some of the callers are in desperate straights at the end of their rope. Some of the callers are skeptics, and a few are downright abusive. They pray for them all, and give them what for direct from the bible. A real One on One show. Sometimes boring, sometimes fascinating. G3/11 Monday thru Friday 10PM, 2:30AM FOR THE PEOPLE TV The half hour TV version of the Chuck Harder FOR THE PEOPLE Show (See audio listings below). Basically a radio show on TV, complete with big RE-20 Microphones on Boom Stands. Chuck interviews Authors of alternative view books, and activists. Fans of the FTP radio show will enjoy seeing the program which comes from the FTP Radio studio. Chuck is not the slick TV personality type, wearing working man shirts, and leaning back in his studio chair. G4/06 24 Hours a Day SHEPARD'S CHAPEL NETWORK Pastor Arnold Murray. Pastor Murray seems to have taken Gene Scott's place lately as the beacon of the sky to tune your dish by. In addition to straightforward Bible Preaching, pastor Murray also does shows about Anglo Saxon Heritage, including Ogam Writings, which indicate that people who could write ancient Hebrew were HERE in the USA in ancient times. Also some good Constitutionalist programs, and one on non-traditional health and nutrition. G4/13 Monday thru Friday MIDNIGHT - BOB ENYART LIVE The Nation's self proclaimed Right Wing Radical, Homophobic, Anti-choice talk show host. Bob is just not tollerant. His callers do take him to task. SO far he has not budged. In fact, he has been known to turn some of them around to HIS way of thinking. Do you DARE to watch? He used to be on the Omega Radio Network, but now originates from KWHD in Denver. G4/13 is the backhaul. Also seen on G4/15 at the same time, but the audio on 13 is much better. And on the backhaul you see his local commercials. Check Bob out. You will love him or hate him, depending on your own leanings. G3/24 Monday thru Friday Clean Feed of "HERB NERO SHOW" (Also seen on F2/05, MSTV) 10PM-11PM -Herb Nero Herb is a Rush Limbaugh Wannabee who also has guests. When he has guests, they are generally low budget, like the wrinkled Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampet), but this show holds its own with the phone calls from viewers. On his desk is a sign, Thou Shalt Not Whine", and Herb is, in the Limbaugh tradition, a bit on the portly side, with grey hair and beard. The show can be entertaining. T1/?? Monday Thru Friday 6:00PM 6:30PM Howard Stern (Clean Feed) (Shows up on several different transponders) C3/23 Monday Thru Friday 8:00PM, 11:00PM Howard Stern (with Commercials) -Howard Stern, Robin Quivers, Stuttering John, and the cast Mister Potty Mouth's radio show is taped daily with 6 robotic cameras and edited and condensed to a half hour of the "Best". You either LOVE Stern or you HATE him. There is no one on the air in any medium who is more obnoxious than Howard Stern. The best viewing is on the Clean feed (Let's hope it lasts) with no bumpers or commercials, just the footage. The 6PM start time is approx. Just leave the dish parked on T1/24 (Usually a CBS contract channel) around 6PM and the feed will come on. If you miss that, the E! feed on C3/23 features the previous day's show at 8PM and the current day at 11PM. While we lost the Stern audio feed from SCPC to SEDAT, this is actually better, as it is fast moving and most of the really time wasting stoopid(TM) stuff is taken out. S2/21 New England Cable Network 11:00PM-12Mid 1:30-2:30AM 6:00-7:OOAM Sportsworld -Mike Adams Strange humor, weird contests and phone calls, and also SKY SCANNING. Mike actually tunes around C and KU band during the show and punches up reporters for other networks sitting around picking their noses, as well as picking up the Arab and Chinese channels and incorporating them into his weird show. Not your normal sports program. The sky scanning is pretty funny. And Mike caters to dish heads. He has even played the infamous "Tilton Fart Tape" on the air! C1/11 24 Hours/Daily N1 Network One More 900 Sex Lines, Bikini Contests, heavily edited sex frolic flicks, cut down to the PG level. Not just content to run the 900 ads, they actually shrink the feature films down so they can put those phone numbers at the top and bottom of the screen. Again designed for the adolescent libido, this one is perhaps the most boring thing on satellite. Listed here only because it is different from the norm. G7/06 Thursday-8:00PM (Repeated the following Tuesday-7:00PM) GOP-TV RISING TIDE I did not include this in the original listing, figuring it was too "normal", however a Canadian reader told me that he considers the American Republican Party to be like something from another galaxy, so I include it here. This weekly show is one that obviously totes the "party line". Viewed at party meetings nationwide, and hosted by the head of the Republican Party, this live weekly Newsmagazine/Interview show does have its moments, though I personally find it rather boring. G4/23 Thursday-9:00PM THE SHOOTIN' SHOW Save our Guns. The only kind of gun control is the ability to hit your target. Join our club and get the "Bullet Express". Gun Training, Demos of old and new guns. Definitely NOT a show you will see on CBS. This is the main feed, also seen on a delay basis on the Outdoor Channel. S3/02 Monday Morning-1:00AM Nebraska-ETV ALIVE TV S3/04 Weird Independent Films. Some are very short, some a bit longer, Artistic, Metaphoric, and Bizzare. The kind of thing we used to Get on PBS/D, and occasionally on DEEP DISH. F2/01 Saturday-11:00PM THE VIDEOMAKER SHOW If you prefer shooting with a Camcorder, rather than an AK-47, then this is the one for you. Tips about video Editing, titling, new video Gizmos, and how to earn money with your home Video Toys. Put out by the publishers of VIDEOMAKER Magazine. G1/02 Sunday-7:00PM SIEMPRE EN DOMINGO Big Spanish Variety show, Lots of Ranchera music, and Mexipop. Loads of fun. They don't make them like this over this side of the Rio Grande. Have plenty of Taco Chips and Salsa. You don't need to speak a word of Spanish to enjoy this one! Note: Univision was supposed to go Digital, but they are ITC at this time, so enjoy it while you can. Eastern Time is the Norm C1/02 7.5W 24 Hours/Daily The People's Radio Network Chuck Harder's Network, with the For The People Show Monday thru Friday LIVE from 2PM to 5PM. Consumer activism with UFO's and Conspiracy Theories for good measure. Also heard on PRN are Patriotic Shows, and Jack Ellory who seems to be from another universe. C1/20 7.4W 24 Hours/Daily Independent Broadcasters Network IBN is the origination point of the Sunday Night Dr. Susan Block Sex Show (also at Midnight). Offers a full schedule of talk shows. The most notable show on IBN is "Timeless Voyager Radio" a one hour program dealing with things like UFO's, Mind expansion, and yes weird politics. Worth checking out. TIMELESS VOYAGER is 2AM Eastern Time on Monday Mornings. S3/15 4.65 Monday - Friday 12:05PM-2PM Salem Radio Network *NOTE* FM^2 signal can not be tuned on standard TVRO receiver. Randal Terry Live The Voice of the Resistance. The convicted anti Abortionist, and his sidekick Harley David Balou. A religious program, but don't let that fool you. Very Conservative politics, And quite entertaining, with creative comedy bits and biting commentary. Like no other religious show you ever heard. Surprisingly, this program has broken a LOT of political stories to do with Whitewater. Worth a Listen. "The Rocketship of Truth". S3/09 6.8W Monday - Friday 10AM-12Noon Talk America Network America's Town Forum Bo Gritz. Bo is your brother whether you like it or not. He took the show over from Tom Donnahue, who is now in jail. Bo is a superpatriot, former Green Beret, and someone you don't want to mess with. S3/09 5.8W 12Mid-0500AM Talk America Network The Stan Major Show Stan has been around forever with his 5 hour nightly talk show. Just recently he jumped to Talk America from the IBN Network. This is the only LIVE all night call-in show in the USA. All the rest run tapes in the very early morning hours, but not Stan. Sometimes boring sometimes weird, this one is worth checking out, and now that he is on Talk America, he is easy to tune in. G3/17 5.8W Monday - Friday 12Mid The Hour of the Time OMEGA NETWORK - William Cooper The Illuminatti. Black Helicopters. The secret societies are the enemy. Masonic handshake revealed. Jupiter will be ignited by a space probe, making us a binary star system. The Germans had a base on the moon in the 30's. Great Music too. Listener phone calls. Bill is the best of them all. Not to be missed. C3/23 7.24N Sunday 12Mid UFO'S TONIGHT CABLE RADIO NETWORK - Don Ecker Two hours of spacey guests and call ins. Close encounters, Groom Lake Coverup, Area 51, Billy Meyer, Video Dave. Have you been abducted? Weird Guests. You may become a believer. G6/06 6.4W 24 Hours/Daily THE OVERCOMER -Brother R. G. Stair The Last Day Prophet of God. Jesus Christ is Coming in YOUR Lifetime. Prepare to meet your God. THIS is the LAST Generation. Maranatha. Brother Stair lives in Walterboro S.C. in a simple trailer, with his wife and Children, and they have a farm where his faithful followers live and raise their own food. On the property is the Radio Room, from where he broadcasts to the world over shortwave and satellite. Good old fashioned Hellfire Preaching, phone calls special guests, and tapes revealing the various government and New World Order nastiness. Biochips will be implanted in your hand or forehead, so the Government will always be able to trace you, and you won't be able to do business without it since all money will be abolished. Is Brother Stair who he says he is? Listen for yourself! E1/02 7.64W Monday thru Friday 12 Midnight-6AM S3/05 6.48W Praise in the Night <International Broadcaster's Network> -Steve Solomon A religious show with a difference. People in desperate straights call the show in tears. Instead of praying, Steve tells them to repeat: "Ha ha. Ho ho. Hee Hee." in short order they are "Laughing in the Spirit". Hysterically. He does not always do this laughing thing, but Weldon Bell caught it on a Friday Night/Saturday Morning, and it was hard to keep from laughing ourselves. At other times, the show is a call in and pray show (and quite normal) but if you catch the Laughing Show, it is a riot. E1/02 7.64W Monday thru Friday 4PM - 6PM Talkback - Bob Larson S3/03 6.20W (One hour only WROL) 5PM - 6PM International Broadcasters Network This is another religious show, but again, with a difference. Bob can be described as an angry young man. He is angry about Satanism, Witchcraft, and Homosexuality, which are all in the same category as far as Bob is concerned. His show is aimed at people in their Teens and early 20's. He will interview members of the Church of Satan, talk with Wicans and Warlocks, and has been known to talk live to Demon possessed kids, and war with the devils inside them. Many callers to his show have MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder) because of Ritual Satanic child abuse. He also does Exorcisms LIVE on the air, complete with the screaming (Swearing gets bleeped out). Interesting listening, though his harangues for money may turn you off. S3/03 6.2W Monday Thru Friday 4:00 - 5:00PM -Roy Masters The Foundation of Human Understanding Roy is pretty weird. You can't call it exactly religious. He pushes his own brand of "Meditation" and mind control. He rambles and he takes phone calls. Roy has been on for years and years. He is sort of "New Agey" but that is not it either. Not a Christian, not an atheist. See if YOU can figure him out.... ASC-1/23 6.2(W) WORLD RADIO NETWORK G5/06 6.8(W) A 24 hour service featuring programs and news from various world International broadcasters. Nothing wacky, but it is a definite alternative to domestic pap. C3/07 5.40(W) BBC WORLD SERVICE The Beeb. What can I say, excellent news coverage, and some good alternative programming. Again, not wacky, but after a few days of listening to things listed above, it serves as good "decompression". UNUSUAL MUSIC OFFERINGS: E1\09(KU) 5.76L, 5.94R (N) CKUA, Edmonton PLAY IT AGAIN Saturday 1PM (1 Hour) Michael Dylan Davis plays music from the era 1920 to 1952. Along the way he hits a few novelties, some hot jazz, old scratchy cuts, and highlights of a particular year featuring some of the number one hits of that year. Not exactly Dr. Demento, but fun to put on for weekend house cleaning, especially if you get into weird old music. C3/23 7.24(N) Polka Party 7PM-10PM Saturday. Polkas from Space on YUSA has been cancelled, but the oompah lives on over CRN. Nice three hour show. Loads of fun. SCPC Listings (Frequencies vary from LNB to LNB by as much ~~~~ as an entire Megahertz) G4/SCPC Transponder 3 - The Texas State Network 1383.700~ 7 Days A week: Texas USA and Texas Overnight on R-100 While it is a standard over the air network, TSN is perhaps the most constitutionally aware state network. Texans are independent and savvy about what is going on in government. Some of the guests and the things they say will surprise and shock you. Definitely worth tuning in, though since it is SCPC, you will have to hunt for it, as no two SCPC receivers agree on freq readings. Texas Overnight with Charlie Jones is heard M-F at 2:00AM "The search for intelligent life before breakfast". Jones is very literate. "The four wheel drive of talk radio, we go anywhere." Great overnight listening, too many commercial breaks, which TSN fills with the same boring PSA's over and over. G2 SCPC Transponder 3 - KMPC, Los Angeles "Young Talk" 1394.700~ 7 days a week Schedule Varies due to sports. on R-100 In May, we lost WIOD, but we GAINED KMPC. Tom Leikis was fired from the last station he was on for being "Too Controversial". He DOES get pretty outrageous, and is worth a listen. Here is the KMPC Schedule: 6AM PT, 9AM ET: Peter Tilden and Tracy Miller Morning wakeup talk. 10A PT, 1PM ET: Leslie Pam and Ann Christy Relationships, Sex. 12N PT, 3PM ET: Joe Crummey Passion Talk 3PM PT, 6PM ET: Tom Leikis Controversy He screams, burning up the afternoon 7PM PT, 10P ET: Xavier the "X" Man Another controversial show. 9PM PT, 12M ET: Tavis Smiley and Reuben Naverette Two "20-Somethings" Young Talk. Generation X show. SPORTS: Joe McDonald Morning Sports during Peter & Tracy Angels, Rams, Clippers games will still be on. G2/SCPC Transponder 3 24 Hours/Daily 1390.449 Sun Radio Network on R-100 Radio Free America Tom Valentine 3PM-6PM (NEW TIME!) Monday-Friday Fractal Friday, Weird Science, Conspiracy, New world Order, Guests and Phone calls. Strange medicine, and vitamin cures.
